Are members on this site screened?

Yes – For the safety and security of our members all ads are checked to verify authenticity. A valid email address is required in order to become a member of this site – you will not be able to activate your account without one. All our services are confidential and your privacy is as much of a concern to us as it is to our members. Having said this, we cannot carry extensive background checks on each and every member, and we cannot take responsibility for any damage caused to you by use of this site. Please use common sense at all times and be careful about giving out personal information to people you meet. Do not give out any bank or credit card details unless you are on our payment page.

What is the difference between entering as a guest and entering as a member?

Our site operates via a membership system, which means that we need to store data files that contain our members’ profile information and other information such as “Hotlists”. Guests are free to browse members’ profiles, but in order to make contact with other members using our emailing services, you must be registered with a valid email address. You must also become a member in order to create a “Hotlist” and use our “SuperMatch Wizard” and our “EarlyBird” email match service.

We offer the following types of membership:

Trial membership enables you to try out our system and see how it works for FREE. You can search, browse other members’ profiles, and even send FREE messages and cards, plus you can use our HotList facility and try out the various components of our SuperMatch system.

Silver Membership enables you to:

  • Send an unlimited number of emails
  • Read and reply to messages
  • Listen to voice messages, view members’ video and personal descriptions
  • View full lists of New members, EarlyBird matches, Birthdays, and Online members
  • Receive priority replies from our Support Team within 36 hours
  • Save emails in your Mailbox for up to 120 days
  • Search using our StarMatch, SoulMatch, SelectMatch, and SensualMatch options

Gold Membership enables you to receive all of the benefits of Silver Membership outlined above PLUS:

  • Search using our powerful SuperMatch facility
  • Chat online via our unique Chatterbox system
  • Make calls using our Call Centre at very low rates

Our Refund Policy:

Our site operates a no-refund policy. This policy is clearly stated prior to you joining, in “Membership Terms and Conditions”, under both the refund policy agreement and the application form, which you are required to agree to, before joining our site as a Silver, Gold or Platinum member.

Unless there is an error in the operation of our program or processes, our system has a no-refund policy after our services have been used. If you feel that our services have been defective in any way, please contact us here with your reasons for claiming a refund, plus a copy of your user registration details and Transaction ID Number or Payment invoice (without this we will be unable to help). Your user registration details and invoice are sent to you upon joining our site.

If granted, all refunds will be made within 30 days of your application. Granted refunds will be on a pro-rated basis, dependent upon the length of time that you have used your membership. A small administration charge will be deducted from the amount paid.

We operate within the recommended standards and laws regarding National and International Fair Trading.

YOUR PROFILE:

Are profiles censored? Is there any limit to what I can put in my profile?

Yes. All member profiles will be checked when created and when any changes are made. We reserve the right to refuse any profile or photograph that we feel is inappropriate for this site. Also, we ask that you do not include any personal information in your profile, including, but not limited to: your home address, a personal beeper, cell or telephone number, a “real” email address or personal web address or bank details. Attempts to advertise other services via our website is prohibited and any attempts to do so will result in legal action being taken and the offender being banned from the site.

How long does it take to have my profile posted?

Your profile is posted immediately and is checked within 24 hours.

Important tips to remember when creating a profile

The number of replies you get from other members will entirely depend upon the quality and completeness of your profile. Here are some useful tips that will help you get the best possible results:

  • Upload a photograph! We cannot stress the importance of this enough – People like to see who they’re writing to and, as a result, profiles that have photographs attached get up to 10 times more clicks than profiles that don’t. We’ve made it extremely easy to submit photographs, so please take advantage of this feature. Please make sure that your digital photo is in .JPG or .GIF format and a file size of less than 2Mb. If you are not sure how to change a file format or size – send your picture to our Support Team and we will upload it for you!
  • Create a catchy title for your profile! When members search listings on the site, the title of your profile is listed alongside your name. As a general rule, profile titles like “Hi!” do not catch people’s attention, where as more personalized titles do.
  • Think before you write! Feel free to write as much as you want in our sign-up pages. Tell other members about yourself, your likes and dislikes, things you enjoy doing, what line of work you’re in, what your personality is like, even your hopes and dreams. The better your profile describes you, the more likely it is that others will read and respond to it. If you can’t think of anything right away, you can always add more later. And don’t forget to fill out the Matching Criteria section – this will also help other members get to know you better.
  • Upload audio and video introductions about yourself! These are also crucial for your success. Tell people what you want them to know about yourself in your own words, and make them feel as if they have known you for ages! Make sure your audio file is no bigger than 2Mb with an .mp3, .wma, .aif or .m4a extension, and your video file no bigger than 20Mb with an .asf, .wmv, .mpg, .mpeg, .mpe, .mpa, .qt, .mov, .ram, .rm or .ra extension, and upload both to your profile. Then sit back, relax, and watch your mailbox getting flooded with messages!

How do I change my personal information?

Changing personal information is extremely easy. If you would like to update the information about yourself that you submitted during registration, write a new heading and description for your profile and/or edit the main criteria for your matches – simply go to the “Update your profile” option. There you can edit any part of your personal information; save it by clicking the “Submit” button.

What are personal settings?

Your “Personal Settings” page is accessible directly from the logged in area page and enables you to:

  • Change your email address
  • Change your phone and mobile phone numbers
  • Create a new password
  • Change your language settings
  • Turn off banners (available to Gold and Platinum members only)
  • Hide/show your online status
  • Turn off/on updates and special offers sent to you by email
  • Activate ‘show’ or ‘not show’ of your SoulMatch and Sensuality Test results to others.

What is private content?

You are in complete control of your personal information, and can choose which members are allowed to see your photo, listen to your audio, view your video, and read your SoulMatch test results and Sensuality description. You can make some of the content in your profile ‘private,’ by choosing ‘Private’ item in the dropdown box when uploading photo, video or audio files or in your ‘Personals Settings’ section (for test results). This means that these parts of your profile can be seen only by those members who are marked as “allowed to view private content” in your HotList.

How do I delete my profile?

You can delete your profile at any time by following the link “Edit” on the “Home” page and choosing the corresponding option on the next page.

What are EarlyBird matches and how do I use this feature?

The EarlyBird service allows you, as a member of our website, to describe the type of person you are looking for. Our site will then notify you via email of new members who match your preferences. In other words, you will receive prompt notification of new members that fit your criteria, without having to visit the site every day to look for them yourself.

SuperMatch Wizard is the powerful new feature on our website that makes it even easier to find your ideal date. SuperMatch combines four distinct types of matching criteria, thus giving you the best possible chance of meeting the love of your life.

SuperMatch Wizard guides you through the process of completing relevant information about yourself and the type of person you are looking for. SOULMATCH

The SoulMatch test is a sophisticated psychometric questionnaire designed by psychologists to distinguish between twelve different character types. SENSUALMATCH

This kind of test is universally ignored by other dating sites – no other site has a matching system of this kind. However, it focuses on something which is vital to every relationship in the world. It is a test based around sex-drive and sensuality, designed to match members with similar libidos. There is nothing to be ashamed about having a higher or lower sex-drive, but it is important to find someone out there who can match this quality. No relationship can work if one person is never interested and the other is always frustrated!

What is the “Hot List” feature?

When looking at search results, listings, and other members’ profiles, you can see the button “Add to HotList”. Clicking on this will do exactly what it says. Your HotList is a list of members that you are interested in. It keeps a link to their page and remembers the last time you sent them an email.

You can remove people from your Hotlist by clicking on the “Remove” checkbox next to their name in your personal profile page.

How do I manage groups in my HotList?

Your HotList can be divided into groups. Your default group is “General” where all members are added if you don’t specify another group (you cannot delete the “General” group category). You can create as many groups as you like and rename or delete them by clicking “Manage Groups” on the HotList Page. You can also transfer members between groups by selecting members on the HotList page and choosing “Move to” in the “Actions” menu: on a separate page you will need to specify the group you want selected members to be moved to and click “Submit”.

Note: If you delete a group, members within this group will be deleted automatically, so please make sure you have transferred them correctly to other groups first.

What is the “Block List” feature?

While viewing members’ profiles or reading or replying to messages in your Mailbox, you have an option to add members to a “Block List”. After you have added someone to your “Block List” you will not receive any notifications, cards or emails from this particular member unless you remove him or her from the “Block List”. This feature helps you limit your contact with people that you don’t really want to communicate with.

About the “New Members” list

By clicking “New Members” on the MyCrowd Page you can view a list of members who have just joined the site, and catch them while they are still new! Even though the full list is only accessible to Silver, Gold and Platinum members, trial members are able to see the ten latest members to join our dating community.

What is the “Birthdays Next Week” list?

Want to make someone’s day? Why not send them a birthday greeting! By clicking on the “Who’s Birthday?” link on the MyCrowd page, you can view a list of members celebrating their birthdays next week! Sending a birthday card to the people you like is a great way of taking a first step and getting to know someone better!

Who is in the “Online members” list?

Feel lonely and would love to chat? Or maybe you’d like to give someone a call right now? Check out our Online Members list by clicking the “Who’s online” link on the MyCrowd page, and send someone a chat or call request!

You can also see who’s online by the colour of the icon on the person’s profile or search results as well as on the member lists. The blue icon indicates online status, and a grey icon appears when someone is offline.

What is the “Pay for a friend” feature?

Why not give someone a wonderful surprise by helping them find their soulmate? Buying somebody a membership to our site is a great way to show you care. Just enter the username of your friend, and then follow our payment procedures. Help someone else fulfil their dream!

Please remember to keep your payment confirmation email in a safe place. This information enables you to automatically cancel your FuturePay agreement at any time. If you experience any difficulties in cancelling your subscription, please send us your username, payment agreement or transaction ID, or your credit card number with your full name as it appears on the card. We will then cancel your payment agreement for you.

Please note that our dating system is independent of our adult dating system. This means that membership of our dating site is not related to membership of any adult dating sites powered by World Dating Partners.

How long does it take to get my membership activated?

Normally your Silver, Gold or Platinum membership is activated instantly. If your membership has not been activated within 24 hours, please contact our customer support department with your username and payment reference. Some payments require customer confirmation because of our anti-fraud policy.

How and when can I cancel my subscription(s)?

Please note that you can cancel the subscription at any time by giving us 20 days notice before your subscription period expires. After the cancelation of your subscription is made and your subscription period has expired, you will be downgraded to a free Trial membership.

To delete your profile: click on the “Edit” button in the upper right-hand corner of your Home page and then choose the “Delete your profile” option. You will then have a form to fill in. When you submit the form you will receive an e-mail to your registered e-mail address. You need to click on the link in that e-mail to cancel your subscription.

PAYPAL CUSTOMERS NOTE:

If you made this payment by Paypal you need to cancel your subscription manually.

To do that, please follow the steps:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click History at the top of the page.
  3. Find the subscription in your History.
  4. Click the Details link for the subscription.
  5. Click the Cancel Subscription button.

How do I search for members?

You can search our database by preference, from your personal home page. You can change or add to your search criteria at any time and your personal search options will automatically save these changes for the next time you return to your page. Read more about our SuperMatch system, which will help you to find your ultimate match!

How do I send an email to members?

You can send emails to other members by clicking the button “Send a message” or “Send a card” on that person’s profile or listing. Simply type in your message or select a card that you wish to send and click the “Send” button.

How do I receive emails from other members?

You don’t need to do anything to receive emails from other members. If someone responds to your profile, we automatically forward their message to your real email account. When you reply to the message, we automatically forward it to the person who responded to you. In this way, neither person finds out the other person’s email address without permission.

You can also view the status of messages in your Inbox and Outbox folders. Messages in your Inbox folder can be New, Read or Replied, and in your Outbox they are either Sent or Read (meaning the recipient has read them).

How do I recognize scammers?

Scammers are mostly MEN pretending to be women seeking love. They often write sweet emails saying how much in love they are, and how much they want to meet you in real life.

What if you tell me my password is wrong?

There could be several reasons listed below. We suggest that you use the automated password/username lookup form.

  • Your username or password might be incorrect. Clear the password field and try again.
  • Your account has been deleted during our review process (please, check your incoming email – we would have sent you notification if this was the case)
  • You’ve changed your email address and need to reactivate your account (please, check your incoming email and click on the activation link in the activation email we sent you)
